چکیده
The contribution of interstate pollution transport to surface carbon monoxide (CO) and black (BC) levels in different Indian states regions is studied by implementing a computationally efficient tagged tracer technique the Weather Research Forecasting model coupled with chemistry. Anthropogenic fire emissions CO BC are tracked from each state simulated concentrations used estimate state-wise pairs source receptor 2014, most recent year for which anthropogenic available. We observe strong relationship between direct local contributing 56–68% annual averaged Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal located Indo-Gangetic Plain. Interstate contributes 53 ± 23% 52 25% BC, respectively, states. exceeds 60% one third Bengal, Maharashtra, Bihar among top five contributors Seasonal changes monsoonal circulation also led reversal source-receptor at level winter summer monsoon seasons. Our findings imply need extend India's air quality management framework address exchange pollution.

[1] Air from South Asia carries heavy loadings of organic and light-absorbing aerosol but low concentrations of ozone. We investigate ambient pollutant concentrations measured during the IndianOcean Experiment (INDOEX), andwe estimate emissions to determine the origin, magnitude, and impacts of air pollution from South Asia and to understand better the uncertainty in emission inventories. In In...

Carbon monoxide (CO) is continuously produced in mammalian cells during the degradation of heme. It is a stable gaseous molecule that reacts selectively with transition metals in a specific redox state, and these characteristics restrict the interaction of CO with defined biological targets that transduce its signaling activity. Because of the high affinity of CO for ferrous heme, these targets...
متن کاملVictim of carbon monoxide poisoning identified by carbon monoxide oximetry.
BACKGROUND Carbon monoxide (CO) is known as a leading cause of unintentional poisoning death in many countries. Diagnosis is usually made by measuring carboxyhemoglobin (COHb), but due to the non-specific symptoms, the crucial step is considering CO poisoning. A possible solution might be screening emergency department (ED) patients. A cutaneous sensor that measures oxygen and CO saturation sim...
متن کاملTransport of black carbon to polar regions: Sensitivity and forcing by black carbon
[1] The transport of black carbon (BC) to polar regions is studied using the University of Michigan IMPACT aerosol model driven by two sets of meteorological fields from the NCAR CAM5 and GFDL AM3 models. The sensitivity of the transport of BC to wet deposition processes is tested by varying the wet deposition in large-scale precipitation. BC concentrations and deposition in polar regions are s...
